William Fitzgerald photo. Education and early work history

This photo is of William - Billy - Fitzgerald.

This came from Aunt Sheila Mary Fitzgerald's collection.

From Aunt Sheila's timeline for her father... "(1893) Billy's schooling was off and on to Grade 8 at St. John's Catholic School near his home in N.W. Rochester. But Billy spent most of his time changing from that school to the public school. Billy claimed the distinction of having been suspended and expelled from each of the two schools more than any other individual in Rochester. The reason for his lack of respect as far as school school principles, was his love of mischief." - taken from Rosemary Fitzgerald's biography of her Dad, written the year after he died.

(1899 - 1901) Billy started work at age 12 as a tinner's helper for W.H. Donaldson for $4 to $6 per month.

(1905-1906) Billy is enrolled at a business college over a store in downtown Rochester.

(1906-1907) Billy is a student at Toland Business College in Winona. MN.

William - Billy - Fitzgerald.

NOTES: I just learned that Grandpa Billy and Katie and I all went to college in Winona. I love this.
